Event details Network for Enterprising Women
07/03/2008
Loch Lomond Youth Hostel

Following on from the success of the 2007 event, a networking event for women in the National Park is being planned for Friday 7th March 2008.

The event is being organised by a small group of women, supported by the National Park Authority. Business sponsorship is being sought for the event, as well as the funding support already in place from local Enterprise Companies and Local Authorities. Kate Braithwaite, Director of the Carnegie Rural Development Commission, will chair the day and share her experiences of setting up the very successful Cumbrian Rural Women’s Network.

For the National Park Authority, the term ‘enterprising’ does not just apply to women in business. It applies to any woman who can make things happen – from leading a walking group to securing funding for a new play area or campaigning to keep the local shop open.

If you would like to be placed on the direct mailing list for an invitation, please contact Dot Taylor, Sustainable Development Officer on 01389 722009 or email Dorothy Taylor.
